C-TPAT Mutual Recognition Decision

Notice on the Recently Signed Mutual Recognition Decision with the European Union:

On May 4, 2012, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) signed a Mutual Recognition Decision (MRD) with the European Union (EU).  This is CBP’s sixth Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) to date.  The other five MRAs include New Zealand (2007), Canada and Jordan (2008), Japan (2009), and Korea (2010).

AEO certified entities will not require to be validated.  However in order for AEO partners to attain the benefit, the process will require the entry of their security criteria data into the C-TPAT web portal.

U.S. Customs claim the process should only take five minutes to complete. More about the process is found here on
